Three Tom's & a Jerry!

Yes Ladies and gentlemen we have a MOUSE in THE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We aren't sure how the mouse ended up inside, but he or she is here now. One night, sitting on the couch in the living room starring at the TV I noticed something scattered in increments across the floor. I never officially saw what it was, but I began screaming "JUSTIN!! JUSTIN!! JUSTIN!!" and dancing on the couch. Justin comes running out;
"WHAT!!"
"Something just ran across the floor!"
He's comment, "No it didn't'!"
"UHHH, YES IT DID!"
"Well what was it Jacquie?!?"
"I'm not sure" and as sure as the sun rises, Mr/s. Mouse made their way back into public view. Justin's next comment surprised me, "Oh he's a cute little guy - let's let him stay here!"
My response, "UH, TRY AGAIN!" We pulled the cats out into the living room, they could smell the mouse, but were not interested. What kind of cats AREN'T interested in mice? Apparently my snobby indoor kitty's.

So since that time we've been on the hunt for the mouse. He's decided to crawl into the floor vents, we've bought traps and the humane kind, hoping to lure him out. But the little sucker won't come out. I woke up one day this last week only to find Schotzie babysitting the vent. She must have been up all night, because she looked exhausted at 5a. ha! I have pictures of this game she does, and will upload later. :-)

One week later - we have three tom's and still a jerry!

Visit from the Fam...

Anitra, Tony & Cyra paid us a lovely visit. It was so good to see everyone! Cyra is pure joy even when she's screaming at the top of her lungs, she's wonderful!

Our visit started on Sunday, January 7 and they left on January 11th -- not enough time for this Tante & Tunkel. I wanted to share some pictures of our journey's and while here in Kansas.
Cyra loved every minute with the "key kat." Her impression of the key kat was adorable and mimics that of my mom's cat Elvis. She would take us around the house to look for them...she even got into places that well, none of us could ever begin to reach into. ha! Everyone and everything at that point was key kat!

I never thought I would miss all the commotion of a little kid in the house - but the noise and chaos was calming and pleasant. It is a bit hard to be at home where it's only Justin and me. I imagine this will pass.

I can't believe I will have to wait almost an entire year to see them again, particularly CYRA! OH MY GOSH - too much for me. It's very sad but I know they will enjoy their new home and I have much to look forward in visiting.

Enjoy the pictures!
